SD-WAN · Secure SASE edge
Quantum Leap Telecom SD-WAN bonds fiber, broadband and 5G into one encrypted overlay. Voice and video ride the fastest path, backups ride the cheapest, and when a link fails your people never notice — all run by the engineers who operate our backbone.

Interactive demo
A live simulation of a three-branch deployment. Every moving dot is a packet, colored by application. Cut a fiber, inject packet loss or switch off app-aware routing, and see how the fabric responds.

Event log
- 00:00.164App-aware routing on — voice & video take the lowest-latency path, backups the lowest-cost path
- 00:00.112Path probes running on every underlay — SLA: loss below 1%, jitter below 30 ms
- 00:00.048Edges authenticated — IPsec tunnels up over fiber, broadband and 5G
- 00:00.000Fabric online — 3 sites, 9 encrypted underlay tunnels
Platform
One appliance per site replaces the router, the firewall and the WAN optimizer — and it is managed end-to-end from the same 24/7 NOC that runs our network.
Application-aware routing
Deep packet inspection recognizes 3,000+ applications from the first packets of a flow. Policies steer each one to the path that meets its latency, jitter and loss targets, re-evaluated continuously.
Zero-touch provisioning
We ship each edge pre-assigned to its site. Plug in power and any internet link: it calls home over an encrypted channel, pulls its configuration and joins the fabric in minutes — no technician on site.
FEC & packet duplication
Forward error correction rebuilds lost packets on the fly, and critical flows can be duplicated across two links, so a brownout on one never reaches the call.
Integrated NGFW & IPS
A stateful next-generation firewall, intrusion prevention and application control run on every edge, with signatures updated continuously and policy defined once for all sites.
ZTNA & SASE
Retire the VPN concentrator. Zero-trust access verifies every user and device per application, and a secure web gateway inspects traffic wherever people work.
Segmentation & VRFs
Keep point-of-sale, clinical devices, guest WiFi and corporate traffic in separate routing domains end-to-end — which helps narrow the scope of PCI-DSS and HIPAA workloads.
Central orchestration & analytics
One cloud console for every site: templates, staged policy rollouts, live path quality and per-application analytics. Shared visibility by default — your team sees exactly what our engineers see.
MPLS vs SD-WAN
MPLS served branch networks well for two decades. But applications moved to the cloud, and a hub-and-spoke circuit priced per megabit no longer fits how work gets done. Here is how the two approaches compare.
| Criterion | Legacy MPLS | QLT SD-WAN |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | Weak:Premium private circuits priced per Mbps, often on long carrier contracts | Strong:Runs over cost-effective fiber, broadband and 5G — far more bandwidth per dollar |
| Deployment time | Weak:Weeks to months for every new circuit | Strong:Days: edges ship pre-staged and come up over any internet link |
| Agility | Limited:Changes go through carrier tickets and change windows | Strong:Policy changes in minutes from one console, applied to every site |
| Cloud access | Weak:Cloud and SaaS traffic backhauled through the data center | Strong:Secure local breakout to SaaS and a private interconnect to QLT Cloud |
| Resiliency | Limited:One circuit per site unless you pay for a second | Strong:Active/active links, sub-second failover, FEC and packet duplication |
| Visibility | Limited:Interface counters, little insight per application | Strong:Live per-path and per-application analytics for every site |
| Security | Limited:Private but unencrypted; firewalls bought and managed separately | Strong:AES-256 encrypted overlay with NGFW, IPS and ZTNA built in |
Already on MPLS? SD-WAN runs alongside your circuits during migration — MPLS simply becomes one more underlay until its contract ends.

Rollout
A named engineer runs your project from day one. Most multi-site rollouts go live in waves over a few weeks — without a single all-night cutover.
Assessment
We inventory every site, circuit and critical application, baseline current performance and agree on success criteria with your team.
Deliverables:
- Site & circuit inventory
- Application baseline
- Success criteria
Design
Our engineers design underlays, segmentation, security and application policies, then validate the design in our lab against your real traffic mix.
Deliverables:
- Low-level design
- Policy templates
- Lab validation
Zero-touch rollout
Edges ship pre-staged to each site. Local staff plug them in; they call home, pull their configuration and join the fabric while your existing network keeps running.
Deliverables:
- Pre-staged edges
- Rollout waves
- Live status tracking
Cutover
We move traffic site by site in agreed maintenance windows, with a tested rollback plan. Most cutovers take minutes and users rarely notice.
Deliverables:
- Scheduled windows
- Rollback plan
- Post-cutover checks
Optimize
Our NOC watches every path around the clock. Regular health reviews tune policies, right-size circuits and plan what comes next.
Deliverables:
- 24/7 NOC monitoring
- Health reviews
- Capacity planning
Use cases
The same fabric adapts to very different sites. Here is how it typically comes together.
Every register online, every store the same
The challenge
Dozens of stores, each with its own ISP, a consumer router and a point-of-sale that stops when the link does. Opening a new location means weeks of circuit ordering.
How QLT SD-WAN helps
- 5G/LTE backup keeps card payments flowing through outages
- POS in its own segment to help narrow PCI-DSS scope
- Guest WiFi fully separated from store systems
- New stores open on 5G while fiber is being installed
Typical site blueprint
- Fiber or broadband + 5G
- POS · staff · guest VRFs
- Managed WiFi
