1. Who we are
QUANTUM LEAP TELECOM LLC (“Quantum Leap Telecom,” “we,” “us” or “our”) is a Utah limited liability company (Entity No. 14742104-0160) headquartered at 7533 S Center View Ct, Ste N, West Jordan, UT 84084. We provide residential and business broadband, SD-WAN, managed WiFi and private cloud services.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it and the choices you have. It applies to our website at quantumleaptelecom.org, to pre-orders and quote requests, and to the services we provide under our Terms of Service.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy covers information about individuals — prospective customers, customers, authorized users of business accounts and visitors to our website. It does not cover the content that business and cloud customers store or transmit using our services; that content is addressed in the section on business and cloud customer data and in each customer’s service agreement.
Where a business customer provides services to its own end users over our network, that business is responsible for its own privacy practices.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number and service or billing address.
- Order and account details, such as the plan you choose, installation preferences and your communications with our team.
- Business information, such as company name, sites, circuit requirements and technical contacts.
- Payment information, which is collected and processed by our payment processor once billing begins. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems.
Information generated by our services
- Network and device information needed to deliver service, such as the IP addresses assigned to you, equipment identifiers (for example ONT and gateway serial numbers) and connection status.
- Service usage information such as aggregate traffic volumes, performance measurements and outage records, used for engineering, capacity planning and support.
- Support records, including tickets, emails and notes from technicians.
Information from our website
Our website does not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. It stores a small number of items in your browser — such as your language preference — so the site works as expected. Our hosting provider may log basic request data (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and reliability.
4. How we use information
- Provide, install, maintain and support the services you request.
- Check availability at your address and manage pre-orders, quotes and scheduling.
- Bill for services and manage your account.
- Monitor, secure and improve our network, including detecting and preventing fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- Communicate with you about your service, including maintenance notices, outages and important changes.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
With your consent, we may also send you product news or our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.
5. What we never do
Some commitments are simply part of who we are:
- We never sell your personal information or your browsing history, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We do not use deep packet inspection to profile the content of your traffic for marketing.
- We do not inject advertising into web pages or redirect failed DNS lookups to advertising pages.
- We do not build advertising profiles from the websites you visit or the applications you use.
6. Customer Proprietary Network Information
Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) is information about the quantity, technical configuration, type, destination, location and amount of use of a telecommunications service, together with related billing information. Where CPNI rules apply to our services, we protect CPNI as required by law, use it only to provide and support the services you purchase, and do not use it to market unrelated services without your consent.
We authenticate customers before discussing account details and notify you of certain account changes, such as a change to your account password or address of record.
7. Business and cloud customer data
Data that business and cloud customers store, process or transmit using our services (“Customer Data”) belongs to the customer. We access and process Customer Data only to provide and support the services, to maintain security, to comply with law, or as the customer instructs. We do not mine Customer Data for advertising and we do not sell it.
Customer Data stored in our cloud remains in the region the customer selects unless the customer configures replication or backup to another region. All of our cloud regions are located in the United States.
Our platform is designed to support workloads subject to frameworks such as HIPAA and PCI-DSS. Customers remain responsible for their own compliance obligations; specific commitments, such as a business associate agreement, are set out in writing in the customer’s service agreement.
9. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to meet legal, accounting and tax requirements.
- Account and billing records: for the life of your account and up to seven years afterward.
- Network logs used for security and troubleshooting: generally no longer than 12 months, unless needed to investigate a specific incident.
10. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication for administrative systems and 24/7 monitoring by our Network Operations Center.
No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions (for example, records we must keep for billing or tax purposes).
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
- Opt out of the sale of personal information or targeted advertising — although we do neither.
Utah residents have rights under the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, and residents of other states may have similar rights under their state’s law. To make a request, email aiden@quantumleaptelecom.org. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Where the law allows, you may use an authorized agent.
12. Children’s privacy
Our services are purchased by adults and businesses. Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Where information is processed
Quantum Leap Telecom operates in the United States, and the information we collect is stored and processed in the United States. If you contact us from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services evolve or the law changes. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “last updated” date, and for material changes we will notify customers by email before the change takes effect.
